The Claims Business Consultant will collaborate with internal and external partners (Sales, Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims leadership, brokers and affinity partners) to understand customer needs and to drive the execution of claim account management plans, service deliverables and claim service solutions to these customers. This person will act as single point liaison and collaborate extensively to provide an exceptional customer experience and contribute to the profitable growth of Combined’s products.   
  • Act as claim champion by educating internal/external partners on claim capabilities and service deliverables
  • Ensure claim strategies are aligned with key business initiatives
  • Set business partner, sales/producer and customer claim service expectations in accordance with established deliverables, guidelines, and best practice
  • Create claim service plans and goals tailored to needs of our brokers, employers, and policyholders
  • Facilitate escalated claim file handling issues and monitor claim reviews with adjustor; research and respond to agent/broker inquiries on claim escalations
  • Provide timely and informative responses to sales leaders, brokers, and employer groups regarding claims; collaborate with sales and internal partners on issues affecting key accounts
  • Demonstrate creative ideas and solutions to differentiate the Combined/CWB brand and manage the customer experience
  • Provide data and information to internal partners regarding claim trends, coverage questions and “hot topics”
  • Communicate with claim leadership team on claim educational topics that may be needed to ensure the Combined/CWB claim brand is accurately represented to our customers and producers
  • Single point of contact for assigned agencies/PFP/CWB; respond to claim inquiries, product training, and insight to resolve claim escalations
  • Partner cross functionally to drive resolution to claim problems, inquiries, and concerns
  • Develop and manage relationships with WS sales/agents/brokers on individual/group clients
  • Present to brokers and customers on claims service, org/structure, and functions
  • Think strategically and operate in a consultative manner to drive optimal client specific performance
  • Obtain actionable intelligence from our internal and external business partners (claim reputational issues, business growth plans, distribution and customer feedback, competitive information, industry information)
  • Contribute to the growth and profitability of Combined by assisting in presentations and marketing of products and services
  • Drive a customer centric/sales culture within the NA claim organization
  • Travel required – 50%

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) skills preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of insurance related experience in claims (preferred)
  • 2+ years of relationship management experience
