JOB SUMMARY:  Assist in all aspects of pricing and managing the life insurance business including new product development and pricing, competitive analysis, experience analysis, assumption setting, and state filings. Uses necessary software (e.g. Excel, Word, Powerpoint, SQL, GGY Axis). 
RESPONSIBILITIES:  Performs fundamental actuarial tasks for life insurance product pricing, assumption setting, experience analysis, reserving, modelling, and state filings.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics
  • 3+ years of actuarial experience, preferred but not required  in life insurance industry
  • Close to ASA or ASA, actively pursuing Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA)
  • Strong math aptitude and business sense
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Reliability to achieve quality, accuracy, and timelines of work products
EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other related degrees
